Rail Awareness in Nevada

Welcome To The Rail Auxiliary Team

The Rail Auxiliary Team, affectionately know as the RAT PACK, currently serves in Washoe & Storey Counties, Nevada under the direction of the Washoe County Sheriff Office's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).

The Rail Auxiliary Team provides a trained force multiplier for law enforcement knowledgeable of the rail environment to provide community safety and security or in situations deemed necessary by the Sheriff.  The Team uses education and reporting to help reduce or eliminate train/trespass incidents as well as other areas to ensure a safe railroad and community partnership.

RAT PACK members continue to work closely with railroad asset protection and security forces.
